I've been thinking nonstop about cute bedroom idea's recently.
If I could redo my bedroom once a month, I totally would. I love changing things up and keeping it all organized and adorable. Here are some tips for decorating/organizing your own bedroom!
Make It Smell Great
Candles aren't a surprise, but they're so perfect for creating a relaxing atmosphere that you can't skip them. Right now, lots of candles come in pretty jars that look nice.
Pick Up Nicknacks
A few well-placed funky items give your room personality. Hit up a thrift store or flea market to grab pretty much anything that catches your eye…like a bunch of cool vases.
Add a punch of color
The quickest way to change a room is by getting an area rug. It'll add a coziness to your space and look great at the end of your bed. And here's where you can make a real style statement by going with a bold shade — think bright orange or turquoise — instead of the more expected bedroom neutrals.
Framing your bed with a pair of sconces is not only functional, but it also makes your room look pulled-together. Put one on either side of your bed at a height you like. Tip: Find fixtures that mirror something else in your room. For example, if you have a metal bed frame or chair, buy metal sconces.
Get Major Drama With Curtains
Buy long curtains (you can get them cheap at stores like JCPenney), and instead of hanging them just over your window, have them start at the top of the wall, fall to the floor, and extend to a width beyond your window frame. Then pull them so they're open to the window's edge for a dramatic effect.
Hang Mirrors Instead Of Art
Mirrors are less pricey than paintings and can make your room seem bigger. Look for some with cool decorative details, like a wrought-iron frame. Then hang the mirror so it faces a window or door and reflects the open space, thus "opening up" your room.
